Overview:  Jade is a name technically shared by two different minerals, nephrite which is a calcium magnesium silicate, and Jadeite a sodium aluminum silicate. Both of these minerals are incredibly hard materials and were used hundreds of years ago to make axes, knives, and various other tools, weapons and jewelry. 

Chakras:   Black jade is an Earth stone that works well with all the chakras. Black jade is known for clearing negative energy and creating an etheric "bodyguard" or shield around your aura that wards off all negative energy, attachments or forces.
